Brazil are traditionally one of the strongest teams in world volleyball -and part of this success is the result of a long-term project developed with the younger national teams such as the Women's U20. For the past two decades the results of the Brazilian National Teams are testimony to the success of this project.
The hard work brought the South Americans twelve medals in the history of the Women's U20 World Championships -six gold, four silver and two bronze.
Headed by Mauricio Thomas, the young women of Brazil are ready for another challenge aiming to remain among the top teams in the world.
At continental level, in South America, Brazil is the undisputed dominant force, with 15 junior championship titles.
