Mauricio Thomas

Mauricio Thomas has been working with the younger Brazilian talents since 2004, when he started as assistant coach to Luizomar de Moura.

After seven years by Luizomar's side, Maurício finally took over as head coach of Brazil's Girls U18 team in 2011, claiming sixth place at the World Championship that year. In 2013 Maurício led Brazil to the bronze medal at the Girls U18 World Championship in Rakon Ratchasima, Thailand.

With Mauricio Thomas on the bench, Brazil arrives in Puerto Rico for the 2015 U20 World Championship with one goal: To claim the seventh gold medal for the South American side in the 38-year history of the competition.
