"We're going to keep fighting" says Bulgarian coach Petkov

Juncos, Puerto Rico, September 16, 2015 – After the second defeat in a row for the Bulgarian team, Head Coach Ivan Petkov says they will keep fighting in the next games. Meanwhile, Gaila Gonzalez and Jineiry Martinez happily celebrated the win of Dominican Republic.

Gaila Gonzalez, Dominican Republic player: ”I feel good with my game because we worked for this, we made it here because of that. It feels great to win, I feel we have earned the respect from other teams. Today we took advantage of their weaknesses, we attacked well and blocked.”

Jineiry Martinez, Dominican Republic player: “I feel very happy because we played well as a team. I feel the enthusiasm on us and I really like that. We have to keep on going like this.”

Ivan Petkov, Bulgaria coach: ”There is no coach in this world that would feel happy after losing two games. However, there are no problems - Today we knew we would play against a very strong team and the game did not go the way we wanted. We gave our best, but we still lost so it doesn’t feel very nice. We’re going to keep on fighting in the next phase and hope we will win both games.”
