"We are going to fight for that fifth place" assure Frias and Gomez

Juncos, Puerto Rico, September 18, 2015 - After leading the Peruvian team to the win over Russia, Maguilaura Frias and Coraima Gomez assure that tomorrow they will fight for the fifth place against Serbia.

Coraima Gomez, Peru player: ”Before this game we were sad because we couldn’t get to the final four and we came with that goal, but that’s it and now we are going to fight for that fifth place. We want to get the best possible place for our country. I feel very happy with my performance - I have missed a couple of championships in which I couldn’t play with this team so that feeling has made me stronger now.”

Maguilaura Frias, Peru player: We wanted to win this match, we want the fifth place and we will fight until the end. We have had our failures, like against Japan, that it was a different and faster game, or against Dominican Republic when we didn’t do what we were supposed to. And it feels like home here because of the crowd that's cheering for us. It's beautiful to feel the love from your country.”
