Chinese Taipei move towards the ninth place led by Lee Yu

 

Maunabo, Puerto Rico, September 17, 2015 – Chinese Taipei emerged victorious after three sets over Cuba 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-16) at their fifth game at FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship, for Pool G in Maunabo. The Asians had to work harder over a willing side of Cuba, which refused to leave the fight.
  
Chinese Taipei presented a marvelous reception in the first set. Although Cuba strived led by captain Diaris Perez, they kept failing services. Second chapter remained tight at the beginning but a long sequence play in which Chinese Taipei prevailed meant a break on their favour. As for the third set, Chinese Taipei recovered a set that remained even quite a while, to achieve the win.
 
Captain Lee Yu harvested 11 points, being not only the heart of the team but also the only player in double numbers. Cuba also relied on their captain, as Diaris Perez finished with 10 points. Besides any individual numbers, Chinese Taipei outserved Cuba by a 12-4 advantage.
