Bojana Milenkovic leads Serbia over Bulgaria in three sets

Juncos, Puerto Rico, September 18, 2015 - Despite Gergana Dimitrova's active performance for Bulgaria, Serbia managed to get a win by 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 29-27) and move closer to the fifth place of the tournament.

Bojana Milenkovic led Serbia to the victory with 19 points, but Bulgarian captaian Dimitrova rose above all scorers with 24 shots.

The first set was leveled between both teams. Serbia had some great defensive plays and many attacks on a row, and although Bulgaria did as well, many mistakes of them helped the Serbs to take a lead that ended in their winning of the set 25-23.

As for the second set, this one was mostly dominated by Serbia. Milenkovic fired incredible spikes over the net battling with Dimitrova's offensive power. Even with a good attack Bulgaria, couldn’t hold Milenkovic’s balls and lost the set 25-20.

A third set was the set off for Dimitrova who attacked continuously for her team. At moments it seemed that Bulgaria would win the set and take the match to a fourth chapter, yet Serbia’s defense was incredible and with a last spike by Milenkovic they took the third set 29-27 and so the match.
