Team profile

What is currently the Czech Junior National Team at the U20 World Championship was first formed in 2011. As many as 70 players participated in the programme at its beginning four years ago.

Leos Chalupa was head coach of the team for three years (2011-2013), but since 2013 Ondrej Marek has taken over at the helm.

This team won all its matches in the Qualification Tournament of the European Championships, without dropping a single set. In the final round of the European Championship they placed 6th. This team also won the first round of the Qualifacation for the U20 World Championship, failed to go through directly in the final round, but eventually advanced to the Puerto  Rico event thanks to its ranking.
