"We have to play hard", says Martinez after win over Japan

Juncos, Puerto Rico, September 15, 2015 - After a difficult win over Japan, Dominican captain sees this as a reason to play even harder and better than today. Japanase captain Yanagita feels her team lost focus yet hopes for a better result in the next games.

Brayelin Martinez, Dominican Republic Captain: "I feel good, happy, as this is another step to reach the next round. It was a hard team to beat but we managed it. We have to play hard at every game."

Wagner Pacheco, Dominican Republic Head Coach: "I feel happy because today we played focused and did what we came to do; we played with a good strategy. I think all of the next teams will be difficult - if you get to be among the top 8 teams it's because you are good."

Mizuki Yanagita, Japan Captain: "The Dominican team is tall and powerful, even so we played a good game in the first set but then we had many mistakes, I feel we lost our rhythm and that's a disappointment."

Kiyoshi Abo, Japan Head Coach: "Our players tried hard but I'm very disappointed because there were many mistakes. We have to play by our senses and do a better match on what's next."
