Turkey's energy finishes China in four chapters

 

Caguas, Puerto Rico, September 17, 2015 - An out of focus China and a confident Turkish team battled at Pool H in Caguas. After a first set won by the Chinese team, Turkey's confidence made them overcome some difficulties and allowed them to win the next three sets and so the match (16-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23).

The top scorer for Turkey was Rida Erlalelitepe with 16 points, while for China, Jin Ye made true and identical amount of 16 kills.

Chinese players completely dominated the first set and had a strong defense over the Turkish team. The attacks from China were effective and so lead the team to win the first set 25-16.

The second set was not as easy for China when Turkey seemed to regain confidence and tied the game. Turkey managed to take the lead and score over the mistakes from the Chinese players. China failed to keep a good block and Turkey took over the spikes handling to get 4 points in a row. In the end of this set China gave away their lead and lost 25-20. 

In the third set Turkey maintained a strong attack that helped keep a point on point match. China struggled with their defense and their attacks were easily blocked by the Turkish players. Even when China made good points on the Turkish team and managed to regain their attack but it was not enough and they fell 25-20. 

A fourth set was played very well by both teams with China regaining their defense. The attack from both teams seemed off and the players looked tired. They kept the set point on point but Turkey prevailed and won 25-23 over China who couldn't keep their defense in the last points of the set.
