Crowd energy leads Peru to win over Serbia

Juncos, Puerto Rico, Septeber 11, 2015 - In a very aggressive and strong game, Peru took the win over the Serbian team. Point by point and tie by tie the crowd got louder. Peru had a big supporting crowd who at a point seemed to have no effect on the Serbian players who gave the South Americans a hard time.

For Peru the best scorers were Angela Leyva and Maguilaura Frias with 14 points each, meanwhile for Serbia, Katarina Lazovic scored 12 points.

The loud and passionate crowd who came to support Peru, became the source of strenght for the peruvian team. In the first set, Serbia seemed to have control over their defense but Peru had strong attacks. The Serbians let the set slip out of their hands and Peru took the win 25-18 with confidence.

In the second set it was a very tied game and Peru seemed lost at times with a poor defense. The Serbians then made a good attack and took the lead for a short time, yet it was not enough to win over the south american team and their crowd.

An aggressive third set gave the crowd more energy. Both teams were attacking and defending greatly. The emotion was increased by every tie that came to happen in the match. One point after the other Peru proved they were the winners when they took the third and last set 28-26 over the Serbians.
