Chinese Taipei conquer 11th position after triumph over Czech Republic

 

Maunabo, Puerto Rico, September 19, 2015 – Chinese Taipei outclassed Czech Republic 3-1 (26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 25-19) at the Finals at FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship in Maunabo. Chinese Taipei’s team traced a successful route towards the 11th place of the final standing.

Chinese Taipei owned a tight first rally from the service line, as a less energetic Czech Republic suffered in reception at every set. After gaining a 2-1 advantage, Chinese Taipei had to struggle a bit more, when the Czechs recovered their pounces, but the Asian win was impossible to avoid.

The offensive strategies of Chinese Taipei were very efficient, executed by a captain that granted success in every set, as Lee Yu was the rocket of the team.

The most prolific players of the match were Ya Tzu Chen from Chinese Taipei, who nailed 14 points, and teammate Kuo Ching-Yi who capped the same amount. For Czech Republic, Gabriela Kopacova also made 14 points, being 11 attacks, 2 block and 1 service, as the leading scorer on her side.
