Juncos, Puerto Rico, September 11, 2015 - In the first match of the Women's U20 World Championship in Juncos, the Chinese team took the game over Mexico 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-23). Coached by Chen Youquan, the Asian girls kept the lead over the Mexican team from the start of the match.

China was led by Du Qingqing who scored 13 points, handling the match from the first set. For the Mexican side, Fernanda Bañuelos and María Rodríguez scored 9 points each. Both teams had struggles in the first set but after the first 5 points, the Chinese players had stablished their strategy.

After a 25-18 win in the first set, China's team began the second set with a strong attack and effective defense, taking the set 25-13 over Mexican team with lower defense and attack levels. With mistakes that made every point lost a bad picture for the Mexican team, China took advantage and started attacking more in the third set.

With a defying defense the Mexicans held the Chinese players and made a good comeback. Yet this was not enough to hold the attacks from Du Qingqing and Zhang Qian who scored the final points for China's 25-23 win in the third and last set.

The Mexican team will face Serbia on Saturday. China will do the same against Peru.
