Bulgarian players enjoy "one of the best feelings in the world"

Maunabo, Puerto Rico, September 11, 2015 - Not every day a player gets a win at visiting soil, specially looking around age-group categories, in which the boys and girls are taking their first steps onto international ground. That's why the Bulgarian girls, after downing Puerto Rico in front of a feisty crowd, were ecstatic.

Barbara López, Puerto Rico captain: "We must admit it wasn’t our best game. At the same time, we are confident that next time we will make it better and go for the win we desire."

Xiomara Molero, Puerto Rico coach: "They have earned a good start at this tournament. Bulgaria were able to take over us because of their bigger experience. We should improve our offensive levels and our services for next games."

Gergana Dimitrova, Bulgaria captain: "Our team's victory, at this place and with this scenario, is simply one of the best feelings in the world. We will enjoy this and then think on what's next."

Ivan Petkov, Bulgaria coach: "I want to congratulate Puerto Rico, as they helped to make a great game, regardless of the final outcome. We started a bit nervous on the match, but then we recovered our shape and were able to finish the rallies for our side."
