Baumrukova serves the way to Czech Republic's second win

Maunabo, Puerto Rico, September 17, 2015 - Czech Republic overcame a resilient Mexico 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-20, 25-15) at FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship Pool G held in Maunabo. The Czech Republic aggressiveness from the service line earned them a victory for the second time in the competition.

Czech Republic showed an amazing performance in serving, with a nice total of 15 aces against the 9 gathered by Mexico. Captain Tiziana Baumrukova and teammate Sarah Cruz blasted four aces each, as the best of the team in that area.

As for the scorers, Anna Sucha placed atop of the charts with 18 points, while Gabriela Kopacova trailed her with 15, massively scoring from the second set onwards. Mexico had in their captain Fernanda Banuelos their main weapon with 16 kills.

Czech Republic came out determined to improve for the next round against a perseverant Mexican selection. However, in the first period Mexico was unable to achieve almost any offensive plays, decimated by Czech Republic's powerful services. Even though Mexico stepped ahead in the second set, on the following chapters they lost their focus and dealt with a stronger answer by Czech Republic, provided by the bright performances of spikers Sucha and Kopacova, en-route to the win.
